Abigail Bollenbach

Abigail Bollenbach graduated as a high school senior in May of 2020. She was recognized in 2018 and 2019 by national and international organizations for her astronomy public outreach projects and her work in science. Also in 2020, “From Earth to Saturn”, the planetarium show she wrote and co-narrated premiered at the Jenks Planetarium in Jenks, Oklahoma. In addition, she is a founding member of the Bartizan Youth Astronomers and a member of their affiliate club, the Bartlesville Astronomical Society where she presented monthly PowerPoints on breaking space, astronomy and astrophysics news for almost 5 years. Bollenbach latest project, a social media video series, “Infinity and Beyond, It’s Actually Rocket Science” with Astronomy Magazine premiered in June of 2020. As a science communicator, she writes, films, hosts and co-edits the series for all of Astronomy Magazine’s social media channels on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and their website. Now beginning her first year of college studies, she plans to continue making her videos while obtaining an undergrad degree in physics.
