No two days are the same. Children will take part in interactive lessons and activities from day to day, with each session linked to the weekly zone. Every learner receives a 1-hour themed lesson plus a day pass to enjoy Spectrum Place, making the experience both educational and fun. One day might focus on ancient star maps, another on asteroid impacts, satellites, rocket building, planetary science, astronauts or creative design.
Whether your child loves space already or is just beginning their journey of discovery, Summer Space School is a brilliant way to learn, create and explore. Join us for one week, choose your favourite zone, or enjoy the full six-week adventure as we discover how space connects everything. Book now to secure your place. If you have any questions, please get in touch — we’ll be happy to help.

Each week has its own zone, so children can join for one week or return throughout the summer and experience something new each time. Every zone is linked through the idea that space connects everything — from ancient astronomy and asteroid impacts to Earth observation satellites and future human exploration.
Week | Dates | Zone | Space Link |
1 | 20–26 July | Zone 1: Egyptian | Egyptians were among the world’s earliest astronomers, mapping the stars, building celestial calendars and aligning monuments to the night sky. |
2 | 27 July – 2 August | Zone 2: Dinosaurs | An asteroid from space played a major role in the extinction of the dinosaurs. Studying impacts helps us understand the solar system and how we can protect Earth today. |
3 | 3–9 August | Zone 3: Our Planet | From space, we can see our whole planet. Earth observation satellites help us monitor oceans, the atmosphere and climate change. This week also includes Rocket Build on Tuesday 4 August and Launch Day on Wednesday 5 August. |
4 | 10–16 August | Zone 4: Space | A core space week exploring the solar system, stars, galaxies, astronauts and the future of human exploration. |
5 | 17–23 August | All Zones: Space Connects Everything | Space technology links every zone, from satellites that map buried pyramids to probes that study asteroids and Earth observation tools that monitor our planet. |
6 | 24–30 August | All Zones: Showcase and Celebration | A final week to review, create, display and celebrate everything children have discovered, showing how all the zones connect. |
